Check this:

It might be true, (if false, please delete topic) because this is a list with PDC builds: 6.1.6926.winmain.081009-1855
6.1.6932.winmain.081017-1835
6.1.6933.winmain.081020-1842
6.1.6935.winmain.081022-1857

Hope it's true. Very interested after seeing the screenshots today.
The above post is brought to you by me not listening in class and posting here instead. :D

I think it's incredibly lame that most of the UI changes aren't in the PDC distributed build. They show it all off but then go "NEENER NEENER NEENER YOU CAN'T HAVE IT UNTIL BETA HAHA!"

I have to tell you that a PDC build is for devloper creating software, not of the public to evaluate whats in the os.
Check out longhorn 4051. It is completely stripped for that purpose.

Why 6933? Why not 6935?

Anyway, it's going to leak no matter what happens, just wait for some time or start googling for the torrent

Of course the PDC build is going to leak, if you can even call it a leak. Microsoft is giving it out. I'm a bit skeptical of the idea that these other builds will leak though with how locked down and secret the rest of Windows 7 development has been. I've heard from a few people 6933 has though, I hope it's true.

MS will always give us the worst build.
Remember 5219, we got the one without he sidebar, which they demo a different 5219 with the sidebar. Then they hadd 5221, 5223 and 5226.

That's because the sidebar had a memory leak... or other problems. They won't release it because it isn't the most tested... or also because PDC stands for Professional Developers Conference. They're giving it to people who are expected to be developing software for Windows 7. The new taskbar might not be something a lot of developers are focused on. They don't just say "They'll like this one, let's not give it to them."

Sorry if I am going a bit offtopic here, but didn't the Build 5219 of Vista with the sidebar leak? Its just that I found a link somewhere for Vista Build 5219's sidebar resources in a zipped file.

I also partially got it working in Build 5048 of Longhorn, except I couldn't actually get the gadgets to display (the gadgets list was empty) and was left with an empty strip down the left-hand side of the screen.

Did you really seriously think this build of 7 actually leaked?

Unless someone managed to zip in and clone the entire HDD of the demonstration systems...then yeah, it would still be useless in that case.
