If you don't mind me asking, but how are you modding the kernel? Are you using ResHack and/or a mainstream programming language (e.g. C, C# or C++)?

Thanks.

By the way, how large will the ISO be and how did you port the licensing subsystem to 2k3? Is it just copy-paste then change the build numbers or do you have to decompile it?

No, I am using Mini-Setup in a WIM image and I replace pidgen.dll with the XP one and it should fit on a CD.

Yes, the Fusion project internally (atleast my lab) does contain Workstation and Server SKUs.

Okay. BTW, have you integrated FFWM into the kernel yet?

It actually would be easier if the first longhorn after the reset (3790) build would leak, no modding needed.
And you can probably just install server 2003 updates on it.

5.2 is a bit compatible with the 6.0 (Vista) kernel, I doubt it can solve the "not a valid Win32 application" on Vista-linked (but not using Vista DLLs) apps.

Interesting! I'll help with Beta Testing (on Both a VM and a real PC if you want; Godomaga hasn't seen use since it's horrible windows 2000 VGA accident).

Well, you are using "PantherXp" engine? I want to use Vista beta 1 engine, I want to install on top of another system without boot and use WinpE 2.0 native.

And....Are you compiled server client and workstation client? You know how to change SKU name?

Exemple: Windows Xp Professional for Windows "ShortHorn" Ultimate edition.

Thank you!

Do note that the test versions will have a timebomb. You will also need a Windows XP Professional Key.

Suggestions for extras are welcome!

Anyone willing to help out?

EDIT: Wording updated.
EDIT2: Component List Added and screens
You making this? Did you ask Microsoft? It might be illegal to get Windows XP & Windows Server 2003 & then combine it, then let People download it for it.

Technically, as per your stipulations Corpse, everything I do is "illegal" then, hell, even opening NTOSKRNL in xvi32 and changing the build number is illegal because you're modifying it.

I'm doing it for academic purposes because I use the WRK eula.

In the strictest terms, probably everybody on this site does something illegal with their computers..... But, who cares?

Corpse, why are your last three posts in three different topics I read about whether it is legal or not? What do you care?

Collecting beta's is, from a lawyer's perspective, illegal as well. So if you don't like that, why are you here?
