Hi! Maybe there is some advice here I got an old and nice original sealed Windows XP profesional 32 bit 2505 build. I installed it on my old Acer Aspire 5315. Looks sharp. BUT... I cant put my drivers on computer becouse it demands that i have at least SP1 on my computer to install those, but when I try to get that SP1 onto it than there is an error saying that one can install sp1 starting from build 2600. There were info in some forums that I can try to install "Windows XP Update Package, October 25, 2001" but that didnt work out either.
Maybe someone have similar expierence.
Is there service pack for build 2505?
Re: Is there service pack for build 2505?
you can try going to regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
and change values there
swap 2505 to 2600
and change values that indicate SP1 (think it is CSD ones)
if that doesn't do, then youre shizzle out of luck as it checks from kernel
