A strange vista version
A strange vista version
I found a strange Vista version on YouTube, according to the uploader, it is Vista Pre-Beta2 version (maybe 5219 or 5231) but the start button icon is obviously not like post-reset vista because the start button uses glass flag , And the Aero theme is also a longhorn pre-reset style. This is the video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80O7vwj8Fs0
Re: A strange vista version
This is Windows Vista RTM with Longhorn theme.
Re: A strange vista version
But the introduction of the video publisher states that this is a PDC2005 demonstration. I don’t think Microsoft officials will deliberately install a Longhorn Pre-reset theme. And Vista RTM in 2005 has not been released yet.
Re: A strange vista version
If you had carefully read the video description, you would see that it says: "'Halos' was never released to public. When you have source code of it you can compile with your custom images. However for this video i have compiled it with default ones. I find this application cool but useless because you can not change images after compiling (well, maybe you can use resource hacker but i havent tryed)."
Furthermore, at no point does the author claim to be using any build of Windows Vista. This is nothing more than a third-party theme being used on Windows Vista RTM/SP1/SP2+.

Re: A strange vista version
The date of creation/modification of "Halos" is 04.11.2007 maximum, besides numerous vista icons indicate that this is a Release build of Windows Vista.

and the RTM build was compiled in Nov 8, 2006, which is by itself an explanation
