Windows 95 can't access to the internet
Windows 95 can't access to the internet
Hello! I have a problem regarding "Networking" on Windows 95, OSR 2.5. I've installed RetroZilla, but it can't access webpages. Internet Explorer 4? Can't, just says Navigation Canceled. Can somebody help me on this one? Google isn't helping much.
Re: Windows 95 can't access to the internet
This depends on what emulator/virtualizer you are using. I know that VirtualBox and VMWare work with Windows 95's networking, but 86Box/PCem emulate actual hardware so you need drivers for that hardware.
In any case, make sure you installed the TCP/IP protocol under the Networking control panel. That was the reason I couldn't get networking working on Windows 95 OSR2, with IE3. I don't think Windows 95 shipped with it out of the box.

whoops somehow when i uninstalled the tcp/ip protocol and reinstalled it again it suddenly worked
