Hi,
I was wondering if there was a Y2K patch for Visual SourceSafe 3.1?
The MS FTP archive doesn't seem to have the Y2K patch for VSS.
I really like using the DOS interface and have a few more things to finish in DOS.
Version 4.0 does not have the ssd.exe (DOS graphical Interface) only the command line interface, so that is off the table.
It is so strange, but I find DOS and Win 3.1 so calming. Zero stress.
Regards,
Craig

Re: Visual Sourcesafe 3.1 Y2K patch?
VSS 3.1 (16-bit, 1995) was probably long out of service by late 1999 (Y2K).
The MS Y2K database only had info for VSS 5.0 (32-bit, 1996) and VSS 6.0 (32-bit, 1998).
Given that 3.1 was 16-bit, these probably don't relate, but FWIW:
• 5.0 Y2K info: https://web.archive.org/web/19990508094 ... 5001EN.htm
• 6.0 Y2K info: https://web.archive.org/web/19991114121 ... 6418EN.htm

Re: Visual Sourcesafe 3.1 Y2K patch?
Thanks mate,
It is a shame they didn't create one. they created it for WFW.
Thanks again.
EDIT:
