Windows Vista Beta 2 Is Usable in 2022!

Yes. Probably many of you will not come to believe that I have succeeded, after a long time, this ... now, I run on my main computer Windows Vista Build 5472. (I write now from it) and honestly, It took me a long time to do this to work. (Of which 90% of work, it is about my discoveries.) The drivers took a long time until I found them, the browser and the bypass of the Timebomb screen, lasted the most of this work. But the most important thing here is that "I succeeded".

I'm considering the use of Windows Vista (well, RTM + SP2) on my main computer, but not being able to run modern applications, especially browsers, is a big issue.

The browser is New Moon. It is working very fine with XP, Vista, and the All Builds Of Longhorn Pre/Post Reset. (All modern webpages works, inclusively YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Other...)

You can use every Beta OS, And Even Windows Versions from 18 years ago, as a Main OS If you know how to use it... (From Whistler and beyond.)

But people still use 7601 so it's 12 years old OS just being forked from 13 years old 7600, patched and released it as SP1 so it isn't anything bad to use vista-7 era OS'es because people like builds of these both OS'es

Oh btw, how did you deal with debombing vbl_media build like 5472? I am asking, because there's no ServiceProfiles in the install.wim after the exact browsing of mine in 7zip its younger brother (5491 from the same branch) and no spp folder in system32 also. Could you tell me (if you use it on a current date without reduced functionality) how to debomb it?

The build isnt debombed. Is bypassed with the activation trick. And yea, the functionality of the Build is limited.

7601 is Windows 7 SP1. That still has support for a lot of apps and it’s stable.
5472 is Vista pre RC1 and even Vista SP2 doesn’t have support for a lot of apps now. It is also in development so some XP apps may not work as they did on Vista RTM. Plus 5472 is unstable and there are known bugs. I would rather use something like XP SP3 because it is supported and there are projects to give it support for newer apps rather than 5472.

That’s 5744, which is the RC2 build of Vista. 5472 is a pre RC 1 build of Vista. Of course RC 2 will run most apps designed for later versions of vista. Firefox did remove vista support in 52, but only in 54 did they start using 7 specific functions.
There are not many 2022 versions of apps that still have support for Vista SP2. You can use the Extended kernel for Vista to run modern apps though.
I would assume that running such an outdated OS would require a hypervisor to run newer apps inside of. I assume Virtualbox works on these old builds?

You can unofficially run Windows NT 6.0 and older on post-Haswell hardware with unofficial drivers.
