It is possible to install Windows 2000 on my old eMachines Laptop?

Post by Longhorn_Romania »

i have used a tutorial to install Windows 2000 With E2B, wich it succesfully worked and i installed it on my father,s old pc. But i wanted to put Windows 2000 on my eMachines Laptop, and i have got problems.
The problem is: My laptop is stucking at: Setup is starting Windows 2000.
I have set the Hard drive to IDE And this happens. After a few retryes, i just pressed F5 And i selected Standard PC. But it will give me a BSOD Wich code is 7B. (INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE)
Can someone help me to fix this problem?

This laptop has a SATA hard drive. SATA drives are not supported out of the box by Windows 2000. I recommend that you install Windows 7 on that laptop and then install Windows 2000 in a VM.

The CPU is also likely too new for Windows 2000.

The drivers for this laptop are for Windows 7 and 8.x only.
