How to get the hidden boot screen in Longhorn 4074?

Post by ActivateYourTech »

Hi,

I know there is a hidden boot screen in Windows Longhorn Build 4074, but I don't know how to get it.
Does anyone know how to?

Thanks

Here you go again...

Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlGraphicsDrivers] \"UseXPModel\"=dword:00000000 \"UseLDDModel\"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesBootAnim] \"Start\"=dword:00000001 \"Tag\"=dword:00000001 \"Type\"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesDXGKrnl] \"Start\"=dword:00000001 \"Tag\"=dword:00000001 \"Type\"=dword:00000001

I tried that, but the boot screen was just black.

It will never work because it requires LDDM display drivers, and there are none available as of today for 4074. Unless someone manages to remove the LDDM requirement, I doubt it can work.

You can easily remove the requirement (1-byte patch) but it will crash your OS as it relies on LDDM features.

Is there any other way to change it? Also, how commonly will the OS crash?
