Another Windows 8 builds with broken timebomb?
Just wondering, is there any other broken-timebomb build than 8102.101?
I wanna try some builds but with an internet connectivity, so i need to leave the date unchanged...
Thanks before!

Hi,
In fact 8102 does have a working timebomb. It restarts after being used for 2 hours on the current date.

Just had a look at BetaWiki. Here's some that I found after a quick search.
6.1.7746.0.fbl_grfx.100428-2024 (Solid Black Wallpaper if installed on current date)
6.2.8888.16384.win8_gdr_soc_intel.120724-2000 (Nothing special, too similar to the RTM to be noteworthy)

No, 8102 actually works fine on the current date without restarting every 2 hours, it will restart only if you install first with BIOS date setted back to 2011, and then setted to current, when installing it with only on the current date, the timebomb will be broken.Project:biodegradable wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 6:56 pmHi,

I've tried your method today and the timebomb does still work.SONBTV wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 7:16 pmNo, 8102 actually works fine on the current date without restarting every 2 hours, it will restart only if you install first with BIOS date setted back to 2011, and then setted to current, when installing it with only on the current date, the timebomb will be broken.Project:biodegradable wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 6:56 pmHi,

BTW, you won't change the date before booting from CD?Project:biodegradable wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 11:31 amI've tried your method today and the timebomb does still work.SONBTV wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 7:16 pmNo, 8102 actually works fine on the current date without restarting every 2 hours, it will restart only if you install first with BIOS date setted back to 2011, and then setted to current, when installing it with only on the current date, the timebomb will be broken.Project:biodegradable wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 6:56 pmHi,

The date was 2021 since the first boot of the VM and still is. I never changed it.SONBTV wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 3:35 pmBTW, you won't change the date before booting from CD?Project:biodegradable wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 11:31 amI've tried your method today and the timebomb does still work.SONBTV wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 7:16 pmNo, 8102 actually works fine on the current date without restarting every 2 hours, it will restart only if you install first with BIOS date setted back to 2011, and then setted to current, when installing it with only on the current date, the timebomb will be broken.Project:biodegradable wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 6:56 pmHi,

Strange, for me 8102 won't restart every 2 hours, and even Server 8 8102 won't restart every 2 hours, but however, it fails to install features if installed on the current dateProject:biodegradable wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 8:25 amThe date was 2021 since the first boot of the VM and still is. Re: Another Windows 8 builds with broken timebomb?
I've had a similar thing with Windows 10 build 9834. It's probably to do with the ISO, but it basically freaked out when installed (even though the timebomb is broken and it was on the current date too) by blacking out the desktop and telling me that the build has expired iirc. I used the ISO prior to this so it's probably something to do with that.
