I managed to successfully rip out the "Time Bomb" in Build 7989 with Product Policy Editor, which is responsible for every 2-hour reboots or BSODs. People said it couldn't be done but I managed to do it. I am not permitted to give links or say how but I can say "Google" search is very useful.
Bye Bye Time Bomb, Build 7989

Have you tried it with other beta builds?

I have, it works on most pre-beta/beta builds from 8 and up. For beta builds of 7 I use Windows 7 Loader eXtreme Edition v3.502. Build 6801 requires replacing some files from another build of Windows 7 and can be activated with Vista Beta RTM or Vista 1 key. Build 6801 "Time Bomb" is another matter.

Seems like it's just a matter of 'disabling' sppsvc, but I could be wrong. I haven't looked much into it.
Out of curiosity (and because I want to test some builds), do we have a list of which builds have a broken timebomb/no timebomb?
In this specific case, I'm working on using 8400, but I know some builds have more restrictions than others.

That trick does genuinely work in 7955 to even 8888, although it can go much earlier than that, I think.
