USB Sound Card EQ Not Functioning on Build 7601

I can run my EQ (adjust settings) for my Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro unit for Windows Builds 6801-7000. However, I cannot change the settings when I run the same software for this device on Build 7601. The settings are greyed out. I searched for ths on the internet but have not been able to figure out why this is happening. Device manager checks out ok, so I don't understand what is going on. No error codes are triggered when opening the Creative EQ software.
