Seems odd, that a beta would leak this fast. Be interesting to see what @mrpijey has to say.

Let see if we can beat our Users Online count with this :)

Btw, the boot logo is crooked and is triggering my OCD-- is that just me? Maybe I'm crazy. Anyway.

Here is what I see. There are a few discrepancies, the first being a logo inconsistency in the setup. Also, no trademark? Weird

Image Image

I logged in with my Microsoft account and it said Windows 10 version 2009 so either this is based on 2009 or this is just plain fake (not trying to say one way or the other).

Image

The OOBE is super nice and if Microsoft is really doing this then it will be a nice change.

Image Image

Someone must've been a bit of a grammar nazi because there are now periods in the final portion of OOBE

Image

Here is the start menu, I tried running OOBE again to get screenshots and I became defaultuser0 somehow.

Image

New backgrounds of course for Lock Screen and Desktop

Image Image Image

I'll continue diving deeper into this and let you now what I find :)

Man, I love me these old school, pre-Insider Program style leaks. Thank you for the link OP, excited to install this on a virtual machine after work. Insane to me that this thread is so quiet - if this were 15 years ago, the thread for such an important leak of an entirely new major OS version would be on its like fourth or fifth page at this point!

Hey on another note, any possible way to activate this?

I used a standard Windows 10 x64 key from one of my computers and it worked.

Something I have found Interesting, it seems to require TPM 2.0 in order to install.

Looks interesting, however, I think I'll stay on Win10, because of the nonsensical requirements and bloat which is included there.

It actually does not. I am installing it inside QEMU right now and I did not specify a TPM.

I also have specified only 1GB of RAM and it went through the setup just fine.

You're installing on a VM, I tried installing on real hardware on my spare computer.

That’s the date for the MS event.

Overall, the OOBE is the same as the one in Windows 10X.

I'm not liking some of the new icons. I don't like that the start menu and the taskbar icons are in the middle. I much prefer things as they were in Windows 10. Though this is a beta, so things could change in the future. It seems like they copied over the Windows 10 X OOBE to Windows 11, which does look very nice in my opinion. But I think I'll stick with Windows 10 LTSC for a bit longer.

I think that the OOBE does look a lot better than Windows 10 OOBE. It looks more modern in my opinion, and I like it. But I do think that the desktop could be improved a bit.

I have noticed that when I installed it inside QEMU, with an Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB of ram, and an NVME disk, it automatically activated itself.

I never put in a product key!

Funny thing is? In my testing, I stuffed in a real Windows 10 Pro key and it activated just fine!

As much I as I would love to switch from Windows 10 to this, I'm going to have to pass on this one. Looks interesting however.

This is the first time in a LONG time I’ve been interested in a new windows update. Time to grab it and install in VMware!

Anyone notice that this build can be pretty much installed on a VM that doesn't even have the correct specs? I was able to install it just fine on a 2GB dual core VM despite what it says on BetaWiki's system requirements

Just got it installed in VMware, here are my opinions:

I love the new OOBE and especially the new screen that shows up when windows is "getting ready" (I've always called it the "Hi" screen.)
I'm glad UI design is moving from flat and boring to flat with gradients! (Sorry that the screenshot is not properly formatted to the right resolution, it's a bit hard to do that with borderless windows).
Image

I also noticed a new edition of Windows in the version selector, "Windows 11 Pro for Workstations". It's been a while since I've used a Windows 10 AIO installer, so can anyone confirm if it existed before? I just installed regular Windows 11 Pro.
Image

Poor Microsoft almost made it to the announcement day without Windows 11 going public
