I created a portable version of Windows 7 Build 7000 with WintoUSB utility. It can be installed amd run from any usb 2.0 hard drive or SSD on any computer that supports Windows 7. This build features persistence and same can be done with any Windows Build from 7000 up, including their server version counterparts. I activated my build, installed Net Framework 4.0, C++ re-distributions and created my own simple openbox desktop manager for quick access to my most used
applications.

Re: My Portable Build 7000
IIRC using wintousb pro you can do this with vista builds too (assuming that the build uses WIM instead of the I386 folder to install)

Re: My Portable Build 7000
Hi! So far it hasn't worked for me on Vista or any Builds of Win7 prior to Build 7000. I just get BSOD or constant rebooting. Vista's boot structure is different from Windows 7. WintoUSB only supports 7 and up to my knowledge. If someone can find away, I am interested in how to do it.
