Document preview icons in Longhorn pre-reset builds

I was watching the PDC 2003 demo of an actual Longhorn build, as opposed to a non-build demo. At the 0:35 mark, one may see the icons transform into previews of documents. Does this feature exist in any of the pre-reset builds?
