With User.exe are the Right Version.
Right click and properties, there under version.

Windows 95C (OSR2.5) is build 1216. It also has updated kernel to version 4.03 too.

Check some file versions. But you can't doubt about this, it was already proven to be 4.03.1216 a long time ago.

You can do this via user.exe properties, as LangsamSpieler mentioned earlier.

Re: Windows 95 C Actual Version Number
If any of you actually checked USER.EXE etc., you'd see it's not where this version comes from. Because OSR2.1/2.5 are just OSR2 + USB supplement (+ IE4 for 2.5). And the USB supplement is provided separately on the disc, it's not integrated. Once you expand USBUPD2.EXE in the \other\updates\usb\ directory, you'll see that 4.03.1216 comes from VMM.VXD. 1212/1214 are from USBSUPP.EXE's files from the same directory.

OSR 2.5 aside from USB support and IE4 added support for the P6 architecture (Pentium Pro/Pentium II).Overdoze wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 11:36 amIf any of you actually checked USER.EXE etc., you'd see it's not where this version comes from. Re: Windows 95 C Actual Version Number
There's a few other minor updates included yeah, but the point was the base is OSR2 and telling people to check USER.EXE for these OSR2.1/2.5 versions is wrong.
