Aero Problem on Windows Vista Build 5219

Post by TheBetaFan18329 »

Hi Everyone!

I installed Windows Vista Build 5219 in VMware Workstation 16 and I installed the VMware 6.5.2 Display Driver and I enabled Aero but I get this graphical glitch: https://www.betaarchive.com/imageupload ... .60377.png :(

I set the compatibility mode of the virtual machine to VMware 6.5. Is there a way to fix this?

I'm afraid that you will not succeed with getting DWM to work in VMware Workstation releases newer than 12 - you will have to use 11 or older. I personally went with VMware Workstation Pro version 10 on my Lenovo G50-80 when installing 5212, 5231 and 5259.

i had vmware 12, uninstalled and got 10, it's probably the best you'll ever get for checking betas as its the most compatible with them. also try with compat mode pure 10.x as thats how i remember how i got it working. i was using melcher's 6.5.2 drivers just in case so you know
