Hi Everyone! I installed Windows Longhorn Build 4051 x64 in VMware Workstation 16. I tried to install the VMware 6.5.2 SVGA drivers on this build but when I try to install the driver, I get this error: https://www.betaarchive.com/imageupload ... r.8415.PNG
Is there a way I can install the driver?
Longhorn 4051 x64 Driver Issue
Re: Longhorn 4051 x64 Driver Issue
because its x64, if you're using melcher's 6.5.2 iirc there was only x86 variant although i might be mistaken, try x86fre 4051, should probably work fine

I am trying to install the display driver in Windows Longhorn Build 4051 x64 not Windows Longhorn Build 4051 x86.
Re: Longhorn 4051 x64 Driver Issue
We use to use "decorated" .inf files back in 2005 for x64 broken drivers.
Google: decorate x64 .inf file
Edit: I forgot to mention a decorated driver will be unsigned & wont work in newer OSs.

We understand you are trying to install the driver onto x64. But that driver is NOT for an x64 install. It will never work no matter how hard you try.

Re: Longhorn 4051 x64 Driver Issue
then your only option is to go ahead and create your own x64 drivers for longhorn (if you can), but if you do want to explore 4051 specifically 64-bit, then you'll have to stick to not using drivers, and in my opinion that's pretty much fine, you don't need to install them to use itTheBetaFan18329 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 4:07 amI am trying to install the display driver in Windows Longhorn Build 4051 x64 not Windows Longhorn Build 4051 x86.
