I was messing around with Windows Neptune on VMware Player when I came up with an idea: Can Neptune connect to modern internet?

sorry, but the timebomb location in Windows 2000 is currently unknown, so you can't manually disable it
Windows Neptune is built from Windows 2000
Sorry, try to maybe find a timebomb removing app on Neptune

Windows 2000 can barely connect to the modern internet, so Neptune should be able to as well.

This is the funniest thing I heard so far this week. You can patch SETUPREG.HIV... or use TweakNT. Bytes to patch:

Code: Select all

80 C1 09 00 → 00 00 00 00

Windows Neptune not very outdated for modern internet protocols. I connected to the web without problems from Windows 95-98 in VirtualBox. I think Neptune also can do it,.
BUT another question is whether Neptune can display modern websites?) No, of course.
Often you just get a fail of a webpage loading or a page with a ugly design and broken pictures.
