Windows Whistler 5.1.2267.1 Display Driver

Hello,

I am attempting to run Windows Whistler 5.1.2267.1 on VMware Workstation Pro. Unfortunately, VMware Tools is not compatible with this build of Whistler. I decided to extract the VMware SVGA II driver from VMware Tools on Windows XP; however, this caused a blue screen upon installation on Windows Whistler. Ultimately, it did fix the color issue but I could not modify resolution settings without encountering another blue screen. Next, I decided to try one of the drivers from this source: http://www.navozhdeniye.narod.ru/vbemp.htm. Although this driver installed without error, it did not solve the resolution issue entirely. I was able to set the resolution to 1152 by 864 pixels but no higher. Ideally, I would like to be able to set the resolution to 1920 by 1080 pixels.

most likely you need vmware 5.5 or 5.0 driver
those were made for 2k/xp

When I did it today, I downloaded the TCB Graphics Card drivers and installed it thru Device Manager automatically using the CD-ROM.
