Problem with DOS to Windows 3.xx

Currently ive been trying to do an experiment with windows ive been trying to install the drivers and they just break the operating system somehow

(vmware only)

can anyone help me with this?

Just don't use VMWare for Windows 3.x. Use 86Box instead.

I manage to get it working there was some win.ini problem becouse some line was on the wrong setting I don't remember what the line was called but drivers work now

i've hard pretty good succes with oracle VirtualBox running Dos and Win 3.x You can even drop the CPU performance down if you fiddle with the number of CPU's allocated and the execution cap. Most of the emulated hardware works out of the box inside the OS with the default Win 3.x drivers and within dos (including sound, just set the audio controller to Soundblaster 16 and the Windows DirectSound)

It supports network under wfw 3.11 if you use the PCnet-FAST III Adapter within virtualbox.
