Windows NT codename "Hermes" in InfoWorld

Post by win2leak »

I found Windows NT codename "Hermes" in InfoWorld. It says Windows World announces Windows NT beta versions in 1994. There are three Windows codenames standing: Daytona, Chicago and Hermes. But I interested it says "Hermes" is codename of Windows NT. Here is the links about it:

No it wasn't. It was the codename for Microsoft System Management Server 1.0, some system management application. There's a link I posted above that tells you about it (it's mostly about Windows 95, but there a section on that page that describes System Management Server).

Any of its builds ever get leaked? Probably not since nobody's interested in that but it'd be nice if there was

Yes. Search "Systems Management Server" on the database and you will find a beta build of it. (from 1994-08)
