There was a program called RT7Lite, which was for Windows 7
Re: How do you make a windows mod?
xp = nLite + batch scripts
vista = vLite + any WIM capable archiver
7 = RT7Lite + any WIM capable archiver (i used 7zip)

You can use an add-on maker. You should be able to find it by searching "nLite add-on maker".EvanKTC wrote:How do you add apps in nLite?LuLu wrote:xp = nLite + batch scripts

most lazy way is to search with your favorite search engine like google or whatnot
for nlite apps
some come as plugin, while portable apps dont need this, you just stick them into folder and stiff into image

Well modding depends on what changes you want to make. Most of the time it's all cosmetic with the UI, branding, etc. Others are sound mods like the startup/shut down themes. What kind of modding do you want to do?

Re: How do you make a windows mod?
Windows 3.1 is fairly easy to modify the install of. It's actually documented in the resource kit.
The final development of my production-version of win3.1 is on the winboot as http://reboot.pro/topic/39-k8668-rebuil ... ndows-311/
In general, the reason i do mods is to find out interesting things in the target application, to save space, and to look visually pleasing. k8668 is an internal works number, refering to a september 2006 build of win31. It's before I decided to accelerate installs by essentially gutting the install, and running everything on a superimpose (ie copy stuff and create the groups post-install).
