SVGA for Windows 2.11/386?
SVGA for Windows 2.11/386?
hey, I've been looking around for a longer while if there's a Paradise/Tseng-compatible driver for Windows 2.11/386, and I couldn't find one, so I've been wondering: is there any other SVGA-compatible driver for the specified OS? I'd be really grateful if you linked as well. thanks a million.

I don't know of anything specifically "Paradise/Tseng-compatible", but in my experience, the Trident TVGA8900D drivers have worked very well and can drive resolutions up to 1024 x 768 x 256 colors/8 bpp.
Here is Windows 2.11 (286, doesn't really matter as drivers are available for both) running at full 256 colors on 1024 x 768:

There is a VESA patch for Windows 2.x by none other than John Elliott: https://www.seasip.info/DOS/Win1/win2vesa.html

I couldn't find it anywhere, but I've heard of it before. Thanks for the answers!

also my main focus is obtaining a driver/patch that will manage to apply an 8-bit colour depth.nwiktor04 wrote:i cannot seem to find the driver for any Windows version but Windows 3.1. is there a download link somewhere, by any chance?DJ Deedahx wrote:I don't know of anything specifically "Paradise/Tseng-compatible", but in my experience, the Trident TVGA8900D drivers have worked very well and can drive resolutions up to 1024 x 768 x 256 colors/8 bpp.
