force install update on build 9785

Hi i'm currently using windows 8.1 build 9785 and its been great for a month now. but yesterday i tried launching Photoshop and it had some dll errors i thought nothing of it until i couldn't install visual c++ redistributable 2015. It turns out until you installvisual c++ redistributable 2015 you need to install update KB2999226. Is there any way to forcibly install this update on this build as its the perfect mix of windows 8 and windows 10 thanks in advance.

Trying to copy api-ms-win*.dll from win8.1 C:\Windows\System32,then regsvr32 them.

does anyone know how to install msu files on beta operating systems either by moding the system or the msu file?

Here's a better option I would do: Install Windows 8.1 RTM, install all of your programs and drivers then upgrade to Windows build 9875. That's what I did and now I have a properly working 9875 install with all of the programs I need.

Have you considered using a operating system build that is not 5 years old?
