Sonic 3 Nov 3 1993 Beta Leaked!

Only very recently was a Sonic 3 Beta leaked, and it's a VERY interesting one. Haven't had the time to play with it yet.

Hold C + Start on the title screen to get Tails.
(D + Enter on GENS with the default configuration)

It's nice to finally have an actual beta of Sonic 3. The real one, not Sonic 3C.

Apparently this build was from November 3rd, 1993. Sonic 3 was completed on November 20th, 1993. That there is some brutal crunch they went through. You can tell they were splitting it off to form Sonic and Knuckles at this point too.

It feels kinda amazing how they did the remaining things in 2.5 weeks... that would explain Sonic 3's glitches and rushiness tho.

Sonic 2 gets so much attention and leaks, it's nice to finally have a Sonic 3 beta that is somewhat different from the final.

I think Sonic 2 gets more attention because it has more leaks, and some going back to the 90s. Sonic 3's development was kept heavily under wraps as well.

Of course DRX could finally leak everything, then Sonic 3 (and Sonic 1) would get loads more attention.
