It's quite hard to install Windows 1.0x on 256 colours, but it's possible. It's hard because the driver's developers didn't make an installer for IM1024, but the drivers are still included.
I wanted to install every version of stable Windows 1.0x and Windows 1.00 PE, but I didn't want to do all that stuff manually. So, my patch grew from a small internal project to the patch I'm now publishing. The diskette comes completely untouched, except INSTALL.BAT which I patched.
Also, VMILO.FON patch is already included.

Well, I wouldn't say copying a few files onto a floppy disk image is that hard.
