(REQUEST) Windows NT 5.0 1575 VHD

Post by AussieCartoonFan2001A »

Hey guys, I tried to install Windows NT 5.0 build 1575 on Virtual PC 2007 and yes I did used the TCB version of MSDOS5 bootdisk and edited bootsect.dat by replacing the first NTLDR with $LDR$ and then I saved the changes and removed the bootdisk and then rebooted but when I rebooted it show weird text and I wasn't able to install it.

If any of you guys who had installed this build on Virtual PC 2007 could you upload the VHD of it to mega.co.nz or mediafire.com and send the link to it

Or don't use VPC2007 at all, instead, use 86box with SCSI set, so you don't even need to edit bootsect.dat.

DOS not only supports IDE, but also SCSI given the right drivers and right SCSI BIOS enabled.

Sure, if you use good drivers, SCSI can be supported on DOS.

I remember myself installing this build in QEMU. VMware may also work. Using winnt /b is the best.
