Can PCem use SCSI Devices?

Post by SupernovaNick »

Ever since PCem 14 came out, it said PCem "Can now use 7 SCSI devices".

How do you use these SCSI devices? There is no mention of them in settings and no SCSI devices are neither detected nor do they work if manually installed when installing an operating system that uses SCSI devices like Windows NT 3.1.

86box has much better support for such devices. But to boot from SCSI HDD's, you need the adapter specific bios, like aha1540cf uses its own, the ncr 53c810 uses its own and so on.

I am aware. I am just wondering if PCem can use them at all.

Of course it can. If you have the correct BIOS and enable the correct device in the configuration. Note that devices where you don't have the BIOS are not shown in the config, so you don't know they're there.
I upload stuff to archive.org from time to time. See here for everything that doesn't fit BA
