Mozilla Firefox 52.9.0esr and 53.0.3 running on Windows 2000
Mozilla Firefox 52.9.0esr and 53.0.3 running on Windows 2000
Hi! People can only run Mozilla Firefox to 48, 49 or 50 on Windows 2000. With latest extended kernel updates I installed Mozilla Firefox 52.9.0esr on Windows 2000 and fine works! Here's a screenshot below. Mozilla Firefox 52.9.0esr is last version to support Windows XP at least SP2 and Windows Vista. The same thing I did with Thunderbird 52.9.1! Opera can only run to version 12.18 on Windows 2000 with Extended Kernel. Google Chrome 49 don't works on Windows 2000, i've tried it! I used some custom themes. These versions I tested on Microsoft Virtual PC 2007.
UPDATE: I can run Opera to version 23.0.1522.77 on Windows 2000 with Extended Kernel!
UPDATE 2: I can run Mozilla Firefox to version 53.0.3 and Thunderbird 53.0b2 on Windows 2000 with Extended Kernel!
UPDATE 3: I can run latest version of WinRAR, 7-Zip and Adobe Flash Player 32 on Windows 2000 with Extended Kernel!
UPDATE 4: I can run Google Chrome 49 on Windows 2000 with Extended Kernel!

53.0a1 is older than 52.9.0.

There's also New Moon - a fork of Pale Moon, which is designed with XP in mind and is still being regularly updated. Here it is running with the latest extended kernel along with a link to New Moon if you want to give it a spin:

It's not very exciting at all. Because of blackwingcat's work on this stuff, this has been possible for a while now.

Have you tried running with -no-sandbox? According to blackwingcat once you do that (and copy psapi.dll from Opera's installed folder on Windows 7 but it looks like you have managed it on win2k) you can run up to Opera 37 "without problems".
What is the name of the application software guaranteed to make your computer faster?

First of all, this is how I got Opera 36, which is based on Chromium 49 working:
Tutorial wrote:First, download the installer (isnt that obvious?). Open the installer in 7-zip and unzip all the files to a folder. Then, make a shortcut to opera.exe and add "--no-sandbox" switch. Profit, and install ABP because the built-in ad blocker does not always work.

Got the same error with Chrome 49, Chrome 50 (last known version to support Vista) and Yandex 17.4. Have installed latest kernelex 3.0e. However 360 chrome works perfectly fine, and so does extensions.Caveria wrote:I've mean to this error.

Re: Mozilla Firefox 52.9.0esr and 53.0.3 running on Windows
Oh! I've forgot it! Windows 2000 can even run Mozilla Firefox 52.9.1esr from September 6, 2018! Found on: https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox ... 536215521/ It's the newest version that can run on Windows 2000. Let's wait for newer version of Extended Kernel to run newer versions of Mozilla Firefox.
Try again!
UPDATE: Windows 2000 with Extended Kernel can even run very early version of Mozilla Firefox 54.0a1, but it's buggy and can't load new tabs. Thunderbird 54.0a1 doesn't have this problem. Mozilla Firefox 52.9.1esr received the screenshot!
Unfortunately, I deleted the Windows 2000 Virtual Machine and I will not post more on this topic and sorry for late new.
Bad think, guy. Think more!!! >:)
