I have a copy of it from the Windows XP Commemorative Edition. I don't think it is on the FTP server, so I will upload it for you to archive.org.

What is Windows XP Commemorative Edition? Does it have Bill Gates signature or something?

Windows XP Commemorative Edition was all the editions of XP to release on October 25, 2001 and I believe it was given out to Microsoft employees who worked on the project. XP IA-64 is one of the three editions included. Microsoft has also made Commemorative editions for 2000, Vista, and 7 I believe.

Can you please share the Home Edition and Professional? This edition of XP looks very valuable.

Re: (REQ) Windows XP 64-bit (IA-64) Non-Server '03 codebase
It should be the RTM version, as it came from media distributed in 2001.
Information on Itanium XP is really sketchy, but AFAIK, I know that Service Pack 1 was released for the original release (which I will be referring to by its kernel version of 5.1). However, I do not know if Service Pack 2 was released for it, especially as version 2003 (kernel version 5.2) was already released by that time. I also don't know if Service Pack 1 for v5.2 was released either. Microsoft axed all support for IA-64 XP on July 2005, so I do know for sure that Service Pack 3 for v5.1 and Service Pack 2 for v5.2 was never released.
If I got any of this wrong, please correct me. Again, information on it is pretty scarce and maybe someone with more experience with it can explain it better.

These are just the regular RTM releases nothing special with these discs. Just in different packaging. I also have the 2000 commemorative, same deal just the RTM release. Would have been interesting if Microsoft had done something special for these commemorative editions though.

Re: (REQ) Windows XP 64-bit (IA-64) Non-Server '03 codebase
There was a beta of Windows XP 64-bit Edition Version 2003 Service Pack 1, according to https://web.archive.org/web/20041122092 ... 43790.html. I highly doubt it ever reached release status.Windows OS wrote:However, I do not know if Service Pack 2 was released for it, especially as version 2003 (kernel version 5.2) was already released by that time. Just found them on eBay they do actually pop up once and a while if you keep your eyes peeled.DVINTHEHOUSEMAN wrote:Did you work at msft for a while or did you just find it online or somewhere
They are just standard RTM releases. Nothing special besides the packaging. The day-one RTM releases of 2000 and XP are the exact same ones in the commemorative editions.DVINTHEHOUSEMAN wrote:Could you please upload the 2k and the XP commemorative edition to Archive.com

Re: (REQ) Windows XP 64-bit (IA-64) Non-Server '03 codebase
I only heard of a Professional edition of Windows XP IA-64 version. Also, I think there were only two service packs, not three. I've never encountered a Home or Starter edition of Windows XP IA-64. Copies of the x86 version Home and Professional editions are in the FTP, I believe.

We do have the Professional ia64 build of XP on the FTP as well.

It's not difficult to apply for access as long as you follow all of the guidelines correctly. You really just need boxart and media scans and image dumping of a software that's not the server already, or is but you can provide a better dump.

Re: (REQ) Windows XP 64-bit (IA-64) Non-Server '03 codebase
I wasn't begging first of all. Second of all, I have ISOs of leaked versions that are ALREADY on the FTP. 3rd of all, I don't want to buy more CDs when I have enough clutter.

Re: (REQ) Windows XP 64-bit (IA-64) Non-Server '03 codebase
Even though the discs are the exact same as RTM, it'd be great if we had scans of the packaging+discs, well as MDF dumps of them on the FTP or archive.org
