Seems someone has gotten a hold of the Microsoft edge (full installer) and it works! Credit to "qazmko1929" on the Discord BetaArchive channel for providing the link!

Remember, this is a Insider Build aka Beta. There might be bugs, stuff broken, etc.

Interesting. Installing extensions from the "Microsoft Edge Insider Addons" page works, and syncing to your Microsoft account works (though it only syncs Favourites currently).

Installing Chrome extensions works too! (Though I expected as such, as this is literally just a reskin of Chrome at this point.)

Doesn't look like much has really changed from chromium. Still works in 9834.


Other than a few microsofty things like string changes and bingification.

This latest build always opens the Edge Insider page on startup for me. 107 didn't do this.

EDIT: It seems to do this even when a link is opened from some other app. Very annoying.

I mean this is a leaked version of the browser. Microsoft could be getting wise and blocking sync.

If it's true that they are going to port this to Windows 7 I hope they port it to Windows 8.1 (ARM) as well, could extend the useful life of Surface RT/Surface 2 a little more. They are pretty dead for apps but for web browsing they are still good

Well, Edge Insider Preview is now officially released. So far, it's really good actually and I'm in the Canary builds. It's very fast and fluid and I can easily install extensions from both the Microsoft store and the Chrome Web Store. I was even able to sideload other extensions that I use (IDM Integration Module). My only issue is the lack of support of themes. I'm hoping Microsoft includes this at one point.
