What is the purpose of Windows Basket in Longhorn?

What is the purpose of Windows Basket in Longhorn?
In a few Longhorn builds such as 4074 there is a sidebar tile called the Windows Basket. What was the purpose of the tile? I know you can drag items and put it in the basket. What does it do with them?

The basket was a temporary place to store items. I'm not sure about others, but with photos, you could put them there, and then print the whole basket, (with Online Photo Print Wizard, presumably), or burn to CD, etc.
