Accent Colors in 8128

Post by Courage »

Pretty much what it says on the tin.
8128 doesn't have an option to set your accent color via OOBE or System Settings:

However, by creating the DWORD "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Accent\ColorSet" (create any keys in the path if they aren't present) and setting it to a value between 0 and 23 (decimal), you can enjoy the accent colors this build has to offer.

Use higher numbers for interesting results.

One thing to note is that this build doesn't set accent colors for the login screen, so you're stuck with the DP color there.

Does this work on build 8102?

It unfortunately doesn't, uxtheme is deliberately crippled in 8102 to support only 1 preset, rendering this value useless.
