America's Army Operations 1.0

Post by comradesean »

Anyone happens to have the original download of this game still lying around? Seems to have fallen off the internet and I'm looking for a copy for my personal file archive.

armyopsrecon.exe timestamped sometime around July 4, 2002

Yep, that's it! Thank you.

I'm actually surprised IGN had it and it somehow kept itself hidden from google. Did you have some sort of way to search their server?

The Wayback Machine does have this pretty underrated feature that allows you to index pages from a domain that were captured by the Archive.org bot. Just add an asterisk after the URL you want to index its captures from (e.g. "http://www.example.com/*"). There's also the "Filter results" textbox to further refine your search. Here's the capture index for that IGN site, for example.

... wow, really? I don't know why, but that's completely missing from my search. All I'm getting are dead FTPs and random russian websites. Gonna check if it's because I'm signed in or something

edit:
Nope, Just tried it incognito and I got the same results. Would like to figure this out because lately I've been feeling like google has been hiding legit download links from me for a while now. -_-

I think that depends where you are (with VPN I get different results).
