4020 isn’t far off 4015. 4032 is a lot like 4033. I haven’t dug to deep into each build however.

These are the first Longhorn leaks since January 2015 (nearly 4 years ago), when 4088 got leaked. I like how 4020 fills the gap between 4015 and 4029, but not much else.

I think these builds were leaked due to them not including anything groundbreaking. Just a few more builds.

Woo! Can't wait to test this out. I'll try and get some screenshots :)

Wow, 4033 with classic DCE. Beautiful. Will try to get some screenshots of its 3d view.
Hmm, 4032's plex looks slightly different from plex in 4033 and 4030 screenshots. Notably the improper stretching on the explorer navigation area is not present and there is less blue gradient, more contrasty. Interesting.

Thank you Reflectiax.

Heads up, tacking on 4033's iso bootcode is enough to be able to install 4032 via boot winpe. Similar method may work with 4020.
However, you'll have to shift-f10 diskpart to prepare the drive for setup. It will hang when "configuring the drive."

Anyways, I've observed this build is no less different from 4033. It performs almost exactly the same, looks almost exactly the same, and has just about all of its bells and whistles.
Even its 3D views are exactly the same. I would like to know who and how they got the dce to look the way it did, as I could not.

Well, I tried using VMware 6.5-7.x compatibility with these builds. 4020 did absolutely nothing when I ran "rundll32 uxdesk.dll,DCEStart", and 4032 had the DCE work after running "C:\Windows\i386\sbctl start" too much, as every window became transparent, and Explorer practically became unusable until I logged out.

Strange. I am actually running it ON vmware 7.1.2. What drivers did you use? In my screenshot, I have DCE running, tell by the black corners of windows. However it was considerably stable and I never encountered what you described.

I've got a d600 which can run longhorn. I'll see if a real computer makes a difference.
As for 4020, maybe it uses a different procedure to start DCE?

EDIT: Debug Assertion Failed on real machine.

I did get the black borders, it just becomes transparent after an Explorer reset. I think it has the same bug from 4033 that doesn't unlock the special borders.

I see what you mean now. At least 4033 could handle an explorer reset.

Longhorn has dx9 capable drivers built in for the D600's mobility radeon 9000. All 3D functionality work right out of the box, but DCE still won't show the borders.
Shame...
Image
DCE, 3D View tiles, and DXDiag on the D600. I noticed 4032's explorer leaks much more than 4033's. In addition, the preview pane doesn't display WinFS options or the oversized icon on the left when browsing certain folders(e.g. opening shared documents or users documents from My Computer), was fixed in 4033. So in all reality 4032 is essentially a buggier 4033.

The build I truly wish we had was 4030.lab06. Though it isn't too different from 4033 or 4032, it does represent the earliest known incarnation of m6 and its trademark plex(xp styled back/forward buttons, no title text in explorer title bar, blended navigation bar with title bar).

I both installed them and are very nice! There is one bug about preventing install from boot CD/DVD.

Yeah, the images lack a bootsector. 4032's PE is functional, you just need to add the correct bootcode from 4033 to the image and it'll boot fine.

Image

PowerISO or MagicISO work fine to quickly extract and add the appropriate bootcode.
4020, not so easy. It will black screen after boot. Delete the boot folder and copy the i386 folder from the 4015 winpe on FTP to the iso and use its supplied bootimg.bin for the boot information and you will get it bootable.

I had the same issue with 4020's PE. I thought it was the software I was using to make it bootable, as I just extracted the ISO and I used ImgBurn to burn a bootable CD using Longhorn Packet's (so 4033's) bootcode, but blackscreen. I then tried it with UltraISO, but I also get a blackscreen.
