As the title says, which refers to the fact there are 2 Datacenter server releases on this forum who's timeline makes no sense from what's known about the retail..

First one's here = ---Microsoft Windows 2000 Datacenter Server (''NT 5.0'' 5.00.1999.1) (beta3) [English] [AXP].

Second is here. = NT 5.00.2128 Server Datacenter [BETAArchive].

The second one I'm pretty sure came from DK's server when he was running his own forum, using MPJ's server to host his files.
I discussed it with him when I'd discovered a lot of discrepancies in the ISO, an old osba member that had a history of doing things such as altering sku's & version numbering was responsible for that particular ISO..
But who knows, this may just be another of the same alteration from another source..

The first one here in this thread, I have no idea where it originated as I've been away for some time..

Why am I thinking that something isn't quite right..?
Both Datacenter & Powered were released at Sp1 code level..
Code:
Windows 2000 Datacenter Server is a 32-bit operating system that is based on the Windows 2000 operating system and Service Pack 1 (SP1).

Source:

Beta 2 of Datacenter was released in May of 2000.
RC1.128 of Powered was released in June 2000, & was build 2195, one month after Datacenter beta 2, timeline makes sense from what I'm seeing date wise.
Yet beta 3 of Datacenter is build 1999, AXP or not, I've yet to see the alt platforms compiled so far apart in the build numbers or dates in the NT5.0 range..
Maybe someone needs to look in all the obvious places that would change the sku of the build..

Note: not making claims specific to anyone in particular having faked / altered anything, just the timelines & build numbers make no sense..!

Edit:- Beta 1 was released near end of September 99.

Edit was to add sources to post.

Anything AlphaXP is generally accepted here, since there were very few builds. There's this one listed as well - "5.00.1671.1_x86fre-axpfre_server-standardserver_retail_en-us [PDC '97]", which would have likely been the very first AXP NT5 public build. Given that oddball 5.0.1999 build, the timeline certainly makes no sense -- unless Microsoft held on to old builds and released them to AXP testers after the final 2195 build was compiled. Very odd - it certainly needs to be investigated.
