We currently install and update Windows 95 OSR 2.5 (4.0, Build 1212 C) on VMware
I made it as current as possible.
You can not use https with the included IE 5.5 SP2
How do I get the latest updates and https browsing as much as possible?

You'll need to use some other browser I'm quite sure.

however Internet Explorer 5.5 does not work
Use Opera 10.63 Modded, it works perfectly
Install in the order:
1) https://download.microsoft.com/download ... m9xCfg.exe
2) Protocol TCP/IP (Control Panel - Network)
3) http://www.aggsoft.com/download/w95ws2setup.exe
4) http://mirror.olnevhost.net/pub/opera/w ... _Setup.exe
5) Overwrite the files in the Program Files\Opera folder (http://danika.jukor.net/downloads/opera ... n95fix.zip)
