Neptune fake?

I got another screenshot from this "friend" (quotation marks because he lied to me once, in that modified 95)
He claims from it to come from "Neptune Build 5555" which i highly doubt its existance. The screenshot seems to be fake, but i wanted to confirm. Here it is:

Yes, it's fake. 5555 would've been compiled in 2001 if it was real.

Judging by the size of this screenshot, and how the bottom area is rendered accordingly, that is not following anything Microsoft has been doing for years about NT 5.x era, it's most likely a fake and you have been fooled.

A little late to the discussion, but this is fake as hell. Bootscreens in NT versions until 7 were in 4-bit color. However, this appears to be in 32-bit color. Not only that, the squares don't quite match the style Microsoft use, and the bootscreen in general is an unprofessional looking mess.

Yes, it's fake. 5555 would've been compiled in 2001 if it was real.

That screenshot is indeed fake, for the reasons the other users have stated. However, one cannot conclude that if Neptune build 5555 exists then it "would've been compiled in 2001", because that discounts the possibility of build number skipping.
