I'm trying to figure out a program that I think I've used long ago.
It was a late-WinXP, Longhorn-era "photo gallery" program by Microsoft (quite possibly the ancestor or alpha version of Windows Photo Gallery in Vista/Win7). If I remember correctly, it was distributed as an example WPF/XAML program (I distinctly remember the codename "Avalon" still being in use).
It ran on WinXP, but had the complete Vista-style "black glass" look (somewhat similar to this later thirdparty mod of WLPG but much darker; practically like Windows Media Player 11).
Was that a real thing (as far as I can remember I actually ran it on my computer), or am I just imagining it from some photo I saw in PC World? (and I sure hope I'm not just misconfusing it with WMP 11...)
Was this a Windows Photo Gallery beta or something?

Yes, it probably was that. Thanks.
