Hello,
I am a new user on this forum and I am trying to install NT4 build 1141 on VirtualBox 5.2 on a Windows 10 1803 host.
The TXT setup seemed to go well at first but I got this error message after it detects the DVD drivers.
Setup is unable to locate the hard drive partition prepared by the MS-DOS portion of Setup.
When you run the MS-DOS Windows NT Setup program, you must specify a temporary drive that is supported by Windows NT. See your System Guide for more information.
Setup cannot continue. Press F3 to exit.
How do I fix this? I have tried using an MS-DOS 5 boot disk to partition and format the drive, but no luck.

Use 86Box, PCem or VARCem for such old builds.
Re: Problem installing NT4 1141
I second this, or you can use a old virtualbox version, the new ones don't like these old systemsAlphaBeta wrote:Use 86Box, PCem or VARCem for such old builds.

What is your VirtualBox config for that VM?
Re: Problem installing NT4 1141
You should check Virtual Box's boards for installation advice. If you get past the disk issue you'll likely encounter others.

Re: Problem installing NT4 1141
I used a DOS 6.22 boot disk with CD-ROM support to partition and format the drive and run setup from there and it worked.
