No.

Any sightings of Neptune Server were just mislabels of Windows 2000 Server.

It's kind of hard to find an ISO of something that does not exist...

Does anybody have Neptune installed at hand right now? What happens if you convert it to the Server version with TweakNT?

No Neptune Server build was ever leaked, but in my honest opinion it's safe to believe that Neptune was supposed to also have a server variant. I wouldn't even be surprised if the Neptune build environment had also built server compiles for each revision.

I would of imagined that the server components of Neptune were supposed to go to Odyssey.

Because Neptune was designed for home users (like XP Home, Vista Home Premium, etc.)

While Odyssey was the professional counterpart.

So I think it would be logical that the server components were supposed to go to Odyssey or a fork of it (like Whister Server/Baseline XP to Server 2003).

Yes, you can use TweakNT on most versions of Windows 2000 up to Longhorn 5048.

... Not mentioning the risks. Do a backup before you proceed

Sorry. Can't post. Do a search yourself (forum rules).

No.

Neptune = NT 5.50, Odyssey = NT 6.00. They are two absolutely different projects.

Well, I did not know that Neptune and Odyssey were two entirely seperate projects.

I wonder what the two projects would of actually looked like had MS not combined them to make Whistler?

Offtopic Comment
Client versions of Windows NT all the way from NT 3.1 October 1992 to Windows XP build 2499 would of had server versions too, until the 3505 split where there no server counterparts of client builds until sometime between 5048 and 5112.

So that means Neptune would of had a server counterpart because it was so early in development.

I tried running TweakNT on Neptune, it only changes the boot/shutdown screens, everything else is the same. No extra options or components

It was a mod, Neptune Sever 8c, created by Ken Oath in 2010. You can watch a video here:

Thanks. I was mainly interested in the graphics shown (e.g. the bootscreen), since TweakNT does not add any functionality usually. But from what I see it looks like normal w2k server, not any Neptune-server-stuff.

3 things I never did when I was a part of this scene.
1: Share modified operating system hacks like this.
2: Share anything that I either wasn't sure about / or didn't come from original media.
3: Share code of projects that weren’t finished knowing that it would just keep popping up in places, getting people annoyed for constantly having to set people straight.

I did this mod of Neptune simply because the challenge of getting Win2000 Sp4 slipstreamed into Neptune seemed an impossible task with others that took the challenge on themselves, & since I liked a challenge I had a go myself, & seeing that others had tried it on pro, I figured why not unlock the server features by modifying the necessary infs & whatnot & make it a server install.
I also managed to get IE6 to work on it, though not the way others had tried.
People seem to forget that Neptunes shell is WinME at the core, so a combination of WinME & Win2000 IE files was what worked.
Pointless asking for specifics though as it was too long ago to remember, & has since been scrapped, along with all other beta related software.

So the short answer to this being found anywhere is no, I tried to save the community the hassle of constantly setting people straight with regards to it's authenticity, & any follow up hacks made from it that may have continued from the shared initial hack.
