Windows 7 6519 and new videcard
Windows 7 build 6519 will support the installation of video drivers from the release version of Windows 7 RTM or not?
Re: Windows 7 6519 and new videcard
Probably you only install Vista video cards...But you need test, because NVIDIA drivers of Windows 7 are supported on Windows Vista

They aren't. Windows 7 uses WDDM 1.1, which is different than Vista's WDDM 1.0.Samuka wrote:Probably you only install Vista video cards...But you need test, because NVIDIA drivers of Windows 7 are supported on Windows Vista

Re: Windows 7 6519 and new videcard
I see a topic on msfn peoples using Nvidia drivers from Windows 7 on Vista, for get 3d acceleration with geforce 1060 (unsupported on Vista). And Windows Vista can manage WDDM 1.1, however, doesn't have gdi acceleration by hardware.

WDDM 1.1 supports backward compatibility with Windows Vista; however, the operating system does not benefit from its new features.superlions16 wrote:They aren't. I have a video card not NVIDIA, but Intel HD Graphics 4400, how is it compatible with Windows 7 build 6519 and Windows Vista?

Windows XP: no, because not support WDDM.
WIndows Vista: yes, because is the first system of support wddm.

Re: Windows 7 6519 and new videcard
I installed Windows Vista and Windows 7 build 6519 on a laptop with the following configuration: Intel Core i3 4030U, 8GB RAM, HD Graphics 4400. But video drivers from Windows 7 RTM do not work! How can this problem be solved?

Define "do not work." Black screen, blue screen, not replacing the vga driver?

It probably is running in generic mode or with a code 10 error in device manager. You can try using drivers for hd graphics 4000 series for 7, 3000 series for vista, or gtk2 drivers for vista. Instead of running the '.exe' installer, manually add the driver in device manager by right clicking the adapter, clicking update, and then clicking 'have disk'.
Good luck!
