Ok, so i have been getting into problems with Windows 95 Build 216 (or Beta 2, October 1994). I have set the date to the required BIOS dates (6-11-1994) in VMware and it still wont boot.
I try restarting, it starts, but it says the following : ERROR : This pre-release version of Windows has expired. Contact your vendor for a new version of Microsoft Windows 95. Press any key to continue
I press a key and it says starting Windows 95, i see the boot screen a right after there is a screen with the Windows 95 text logo and under it says Its now safe to turn off your computer.
Is there any fixes ??? or is it just VMware who hates Windows Betas.
Thanks ! ~YoshiFan111

Use 86box instead.

Or disable time sync and set BIOS to 1.1.1990

You probably forgot to disable time sync in VMware, which is why the BIOS date is reset back to current date and you get that error.

Any Windows beta with a wrong bios date (in which it requires it) would fail. Also, VMware is too fast for something like Windows 95. Use PCem, 86Box, or VPC.
