Windows Whistler build 2419 black screen ?

So, I just installed Windows Whistler (build 2149) on VMWare, after formatting the drive and restart the VM, all I see is a black screen with no cursor, I've tried restarting the VM but doesn't work Any help?

What is your host OS?

If Windows 8 and below, I recommend Virtual PC 2007.

Because newer VMware versions are not really designed for Windows versions below Vista

Also did you set the time back?

Yep. I do not recommend using VirtualBox or VMWare for any beta version of Windows below 7. Use Virtual PC 2007 or PCem. Change the BIOS date too or setup might prevent from starting.

I find VMWare to be good with Longhorn and above, since it also can have Aero under certain versions. Whistler usually works fine for me under VMWare as well.

In that case I would like to see what configurations he is using for the VM. I think it has to be set to Windows 2000, and it is not friendly with CD booting.
