Whisterl build 2419 on dell latitude d610

I have this old dell latitude d610 laying in my basement and I figured that I would mess around with it a bit, so I am going to install windows whistler build 2419, any recommendations, or any tips?

I don't have any tips, but please post some pics. It would be very interesting to see a Windows beta running on a physical machine.

I installed build 2296 on an old Laptop from 2005 , all worked good, except we cant install nothing . (and Wifi dont work).
Maybe better chances with 2419? I dont know if driver for XP can be compatible. maybe have to change the name for whistler on driver ini's files.

Its now it turns out i am installing on a d800 (I sold the d610) but the d800 (in my opinion) is much better since it's a wide screen

You should not have any problems installing Whistler on either of those two machines. The D610 can run Windows 2000 just fine, and so can the D800.

You may have issues with driver support, but you can always use the Win2K drivers. I used XP drivers on LH 5048 and they worked fine (however that laptop was an hp mini 5103 from 2011) but I don't think XP drivers will work well on Whistler. Just like how Vista drivers don't always work correctly on post reset LH builds.

You should not have any problems installing Whistler on either of those two machines. The D610 can run Windows 2000 just fine, and so can the D800.
