I do have something against beta versions in general, because a beta version of a developer tool once killed my PC - when I uninstalled Visual InterDev 1.0 beta (I think it was), Windows 95 crashed on startup or something until I managed to get in and somewhat randomly delete some registry keys
- so I don't look into them very much.Are there any beta versions of developer tools that had some great feature they removed from the release? Are there any cases where the only compiler that was ever made available for some unreleased version of Windows is a beta version of Visual C++ or something?
