In 2014, I found images from a Japanese website of the box art of Windows 3.0B for the NEC PC/98.
Well now, in 2017, I found these images of the installation process, the boot screen, and the about box:
I found them interesting. I obtained them here: http://island.geocities.jp/cklouch/colu ... ecw30b.htm
On that website, there are various Windows and DOS versions, including 3.3C and J6.1/V, but I thought this was the most interesting. Look at the date. 1993.
And I will re-post the images I found before these just to make sure:
I know of 3.0 and 3.02. There is probably also a 3.01. So this is very interesting!

It doesn't really matter if you've seen it, the point was to inform the community, not you in particular.Jajan131 wrote:Yes, but I've seen it too, there are approximately 6 months ago... !
Re: Windows 3.0B for NEC PC/98
Would be nice if someone would find a working coy of it. I expected that it's like Windows 3.2 for China.
Re: Windows 3.0B for NEC PC/98
Well, there was a Japanese Windows 3.0 for DOS/V (localized by IBM), so it's probably the same thing as that, just running on a PC98 instead of a PC...

- buricco: Actually, it seems there was another Japanese Windows 3.0 for PC-compatibles, localized by Microsoft themselves, and distributed by them on the Far East SDK CD (that so far, noone has managed to find yet).
Also, we have 3.0 (without letter) for PC-98, both NEC (with MME add-on disks included) and Epson versions. I know someone who has floppies of 3.0A but can't dump them (no 5.25" drive), and this here is 3.0B.
