Windows 2000 Unofficial Service Pack

Hello, i want to install a Unofficial SP 5.1.2195 on a german Win 2K.
But it doesnt begin to install because my system is a german version.
Is there a way to install it anyway?

Okay, but i dont know where i get the Language Pack from. MSDN MUI is sadly offline.

If you are referring to the Unofficial SP 5.2 for Microsoft Windows 2000 from here I must disappoint you.
This works only for the English version of Win2k due to the fact that most modern unofficial patches/fixes were only made in English.
Additionally the German version of Windows 2000 has some minor changes that cause some problems for patched applications like Windows Defender (runs only on ENG Win2k)

So if you want a most up to date windows 2000 get a clean Windows 2000 .iso (not a nlite patched one) and integrate all new updates from here using HFSLIP
Or you can try the new extended kernel from here

Okay I understand. So I should first install a clean W2K in english and then update to the latest version.
After then i have to change the language to german.

I had the same problem with Italian Windows 98 and it's unofficial Service Pack, and I just found an Italian version of the unofficial SP. Try searching for a Dutch unofficial SP for Win2000, maybe you're lucky.

By the way, Windows 2000 can still connect to the Microsoft Update website and download all the updates from there.

Right now it looks very good

For me now works also the originals Windows update function.

Had to do the following:
1. Freshly installed Windows 2000 (5.00.2195) english without SP
2. Microsoft Windows 2000 Unofficial SP 5.1.2195
3. For the official updates to work, you must install the following [rootsupd201604, WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86, WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86]
4. Windows 2000 have over 100 Updates found to Download
5. Kernel v28i Installed (Had to install IE6.0SP1-KB2722913-WINDOWS2000-X86-ENU before)
6. MUI CD2 is working (Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Swedish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese).
