In Zenith's Z-DOS (MS-DOS 1.25 OEM) for Z-100 computer there is file called SYSCOPY.DAT which mentions GZ-DOS operating system. I wonder if this is just another MS-DOS OEM release :P

This is the file content:
Code:
%DOC   SYSCOPY - System diskette copy file
%DOC   Copyright(C) 1982 Zenith Data Systems
%ESC \
%TYPE\E\Y  \F
%TYPE           faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaac
%TYPE           `                                                    `
%TYPE           `           \GZ-DOS/MS-DOS Backup Procedure\F            `
%TYPE           `       \GCopyright(C) 1982 Zenith Data Systems\F        `
%TYPE           `                                                    `
%TYPE           `      \GCreating a backup of Distribution Disk I\F      `
%TYPE           `                                                    `
%TYPE           eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad

Nope. "\G", like "\F", "\E", and "\Y", is just some escape sequence.
Thus you should read "Z-DOS".

Which was just another name for Zenith's release of early MS-DOS versions.
